Anthony is a Founding Partner of Factory Studios and the Factory Family.
As Executive Creative Director at Factory, Anthony has over 20 years experience in audio, sound design, music and broadcasting. Always at the forefront of creativity and story-telling, Anthony has produced some of the most awarded and revered commercial work of modern times.
Anthony is passionate about promoting the craft of sound design and his work has been globally recognised by the likes of the British Arrows, Cannes Lions, BAFTA, D&AD, Music And Sound Awards and The Clio’s to name but a few. In 2019, The British Arrows honoured Anthony’s outstanding contribution to his craft by awarding him with the prestigious British Arrows Fellowship.
Projects of note include an impressive body of work created for Honda, with films such as ‘Hands’, ‘Ignition’ and ‘The Other Side’. Anthony has also worked closely with Adam&Eve DDB on every John Lewis Christmas campaign since the launch of the iconic ‘Long Wait’ back in 2011.
Recent projects have seen Anthony creating the sound design for new campaigns from Apple, Lurpak, Nike and the BBC. He was also involved in creating the stunning soundtrack to Channel 4’s inspirational ‘We’re The Superhumans’ and has recently completed his third feature film project.
Dan is probably the best looking of the Factory Sound Designers, but he tries to stay modest.
With an accountant father and secretary mother, he was always destined for an award winning career in audio.
Gaining a 2:1 degree in Sound Engineering from Leeds Metropolitan, he rapidly began his climb up the Soho studio ladder, finally settling at Factory in 2008.
Dan has built up a loyal client base with his dashing good looks, creating award-winning work for the likes of Creature, BBH, W+K London, VCCP and Saatchi's to name but a few.
Jon has over 10 years of experience that has seen him work in some of London's top audio facilities.
Since joining Factory in 2009, Jon's cutting edge work has seen him pick up a whole host of award wins and nominations, with gold awards for Sound Design at the British Arrows and Ciclope, plus numerous MAS Awards and further accolades at Kinsale and the Clios. Most recently he worked on 'Home' which picked up the 2017 BAFTA for Short Film. Jon has gained a global reputation for sound design excellence across all platforms.
Jon is also a talented composer and has just completed his debut feature film score for Kissing Candice directed by Aoife McArdle. Produced by SIREN, this emotively charged score was premiered at the 2017 Toronto Film festival. Phil graduated from the London College of Music & Media with a First in Music Technology.
With over 13 years of audio experience, Phil has gained an award winning reputation for creative and innovative sound design at Factory. His work has been recognised globally by the likes of Creative Circle, Eurobest, Clio's, Ciclope, Kinsale and MAS; not to mention big wins at the Cannes Lions, British Arrows, D&AD and the LIA's. His work on Honda 'Paper' for RPA, quickly became 2016's most awarded film for sound design.
In his spare time, Phil is a keen DJ and producer who runs his own record label and club night.
Jack was born and raised in East Sussex and began making music from an early age. He graduated with a Distinction in Music Production and as an artist, he specialises in rap and spoken word music projects.
His keen interest for music and sound design eventually led Jack into the world of audio post-production and he joined Factory in 2013.
Jack has a passion for creative sound design and has produced critically acclaimed work for clients such as Adidas, H&M, Honda, Smart Energy and Skittles.
Mark started his sound design career in 2012 and quickly worked his way up the Soho engineering ranks.
With a passion for creative sound design and mixing, Mark has a wealth of experience that has seen him work across a wide range of projects from advertising to broadcast, feature films to games.
Mark is also a talented composer and enjoys producing an eclectic collection of tracks and scores with several of his productions being released through independent labels.
James studied a Diploma in Creative Music Production in Norwich where he passed with Distinction. He then went on to Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge, where he graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Creative Music Technology in 2012.
He began his time at Factory Studios in 2013 as a runner, and has worked his way up through the transfer bay to become a Sound Designer
James is particularly proud of his work on the 2017 BAFTA winning short film ‘Home’, as well as ‘Land Of Steel’, a short film completed in collaboration with engineer Mark Hills which won the 2018 MAS award for Best Sound Design in a Short Film.
After achieving a BA Popular Music and Record Production from Southampton Solent University, Josh began his career at the famous SARM Studios.
Working his way up from runner to Trevor Horn’s Assistant Engineer, and then to Engineer at SARM, he felt that a move into film and TV would broaden his audio skill set and passion for sound design.
Josh joins Factory as our Assistant Engineer after two years at ENVY Post Production, gaining skills in both advertising and long-form post production.
Josh has a penchant for ale and in his spare time makes a stunning homebrew! His ale is so good it has been shortlisted for the Brew Con World Series.
Having studied Sound Engineering at college, Ben initially worked in the live music industry before joining Factory in 2001.
With over 16 years of experience as a Sound Engineer, Ben has specialised in sound design and mixing projects across music and advertising. In conjuction with this, he has also worked with a host of world renowned music artists and record labels on mixing and mastering projects across a variety of major releases.
With a keen passion for audio and visual technology, Ben is also Factory's Head Of Technical Support, a role that has seen him project manage Factory's three new studio builds. Ben is a member of several organisations including the AES (Audio Engineering Society) & EBU (European Broadcast Union).
In his spare time, Ben runs a music collective which promotes new and emerging musical talent from unsigned artists and independent record labels.
After graduating with a BSc in Music Technology from the University of Hertfordshire, Frankie joined Factory in 2014 as a runner and has quickly moved up the ranks to become Assistant Engineer.
His passion for music and sound stems from his avid interest in electronic music production, a talent which saw one of his compositions being used in the BAFTA winning short film' HOME'.
Aside from his daily duties, Frankie can be found regularly working on short films, his most recent efforts earning him credits as SFX-dialog editor & re-recording mixer for the feature documentary "Our Most Brilliant Friends".
